Borneo Wildlife Preservation was founded in 2014 and is a publicly supported United States corporation registered in California and classified as a charitable 501 (c)(3) organization, categorized by IRS EIN #46-1763411. BWP is also a non-profit association registered in France since 2020 and is listed under French law with Fiscal #W610614576.
The focus of BWP is to support locally partnered wildlife organizations and non-government organizations (NGO’s) to ensure the survival of the Bornean Elephants as well as other endangered species.
Beyond the many local hands-on projects which focus on education and tree planting, we also concentrate our energies on providing aid to all aspects of rehabilitation and care for any injured, displaced and orphaned elephants in Sabah Borneo.
*We encourage supporters to adopt an elephant which is in human care by making monthly donations.
We currently have less than 30 injured, displaced or orphaned elephants being cared for at various locations as there is not one place suitable for all elephants. For various reasons most of these elephants will not be released back into the rainforest.
There is hope for these endangered elephants through NGO’s like BWP as well as private individuals who help aid our mission. Together we can make a difference.
